HED’s 2025 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) Discussion

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, general manager Sarah Braese joined the Greensboro Energy Climate & Action Committee (ECAC) to discuss HED’s 2025 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP).  In addition to discussing grid modernization, capital improvement projects, and energy resource planning, the presentation also included an overview of programs and services offered to HED customers including rebates and incentives.  You can view the presentation here.

Hardwick Electric Department’s previous Commissioner/Chair of 13 years, Lynne Gedanken, stepped down from her role on June 30, 2025. Thank you, Lynne, for your support, insight and leadership these past 13 years. At our most recent board meeting on Tuesday, July 22nd, Commissioner Michael Ambrosino was elected as Chair and Commissioner Myles Kamisher-Koch was elected as Vice-Chair. We also welcomed a new commissioner on board, Jake Lester. HED has been going through many positive and impactful changes, with the community at heart.
